The 2015-2021 STI has the quickest steering ratio of any Subaru product to date -- it's 13:1 compared to 15:1 on older WRX and STI models. This rack will bolt directly in to any 2008-2014 WRX or STI. (On narrow-body 2008-2010 WRX models, you will have to shorten the tie rod ends. We take 5/8" off each inner tie rod, and maybe trim off a tiny bit of the outer tie rod if needed.)
It can also be installed on older WRX and STI cars, with some modification required to the chassis. (Details here.)
This is a brand new, OEM Subaru part, not a used or rebuilt item.
Consider adding some upgraded steering rack bushings while you are installing this part.
Fits all 2008-2014 WRX and STI. (2015-2021 STI too, of course...) Fits other Subaru models with some customizing. Note that this part is NOT suitable for 2015+ WRX, since that car has electric power steering. This rack fits LEFT HAND DRIVE (LHD) cars ONLY. Sorry, we do not offer a RHD rack.
After 100k on the car, I finally needed a new power steering rack because it was leaking. I called in and found out the details about installing this rack on my 13' WRX. Direct bolt in/on application, including outer tie rods. No modifications needed. Took about 2-3 hours including doing the alignment to install the parts. The hardest part was breaking the old power steering lines loose and getting them to line back up and tighten again( I would probably uninstall the front passenger axle assembly next time to get a little bit more room with the lines. This is something that can be done at home without a lift if needed or if you are a DIY type of guy. Make sure your steering wheel is straight when removing and installing the intermediate shaft onto the rack to reduce any problems with ESC lights and so forth. The customer service was great and was able to answer any questions that I had about the part and the install process.

I bought this rack for my 2010 wrx hatchback. Bolted right in with no modification. Didn't need to cut anything or trim the inner or outer tie rods. With the rack dead center, the steering wheel dead center, and the tie rods adjusted in as far as they would go, the alignment machine gave a total toe of +2.55 degrees stock ride height. If you want to not risk the fitment there are inserts that are talked about on the forums that you can find here ( http://www.threadtoolsupply.com/m14x15-heavy-duty-internal-locking-303-stainless-steel-key-locking-thread-inserts.html ) that let you use your original tie rods with the 2015 sti rack. overall it was a good mod, It was expensive but my old rack was leaking so regardless I was going to have to buy a rack anyway. Steering is much better than before and the feel of the steering has been improved a lot.
