Mach V Stellar is a forged ten-spoke 17x8" wheel we developed with the specific goal of fitting WRX and WRX STI cars with a vintage-inspired wheel that features modern styling and construction. This wheel evokes the style of the famous forged alloy wheels that were standard-issue on 2004-2007 WRX STI models. Just like the original, our wheels are forged, for maximum strength and minimum weight.
At 17x8.0", Stellar fits most any 5x114 Subaru. The +48 offset is a little lower than the original +53, but not so much it is going to be a fitment problem on most cars
Stellar weighs just 18.1 pounds, which is about 1.5 pounds less than the OEM STi 17x8" wheel. Of course this wheel fits over four-piston Subaru STi Brembo brakes, although it probably will not fit over SIX-piston STi Brembo calipers.
Stellar is manufactured using true forging. Unlike gravity casting where liquid metal is poured into a mold, or flow forming the wheel material is heated until it is nearly liquid, forging shapes the aluminum under modest heat but extreme pressure -- 10,000 tons! Although this means a higher manufacturing cost, the result is an extremely strong and light wheel.
The +48 offset is 5mm farther from the car than the original +53 STi wheel. The 17x8" size will fit a 235/45R17 tire nicely, but a 225 width would also fit fine on the wheel.
Hub bore is 56.1mm, so it will bolt directly to any 5x114 Subaru model without the need for hubcentring rings. Accepts TPMS sensors. Center caps are NOT included, but the wheel will accept OEM Subaru/BBS center caps or Subaru STi caps, sold separately.
5x114 bolt pattern fits all 2015+ Subaru WRX, 2005-2017 WRX STI, 2019+ Forester, 2015+ Legacy/Outback, and many other 5x114 Subaru cars. This wheel clears 4-pot STi Brembo brakes, but we have not tested it to see if it will fit over SIX-piston STi Brembos.
