This sensor detects the position of both the Tumble Generator Valve, and the Throttle Position Sensor on Subaru EJ20 cars. Two of these sensors are used to track the position of the TGVs, and on 2002-2005 WRX, one reports the throttle position. We often see the TGV sensor closest to the turbo damaged during turbo swaps; a sharp tap with a wrench is often enough to kill the sensor. A dead TGV sensor will result in a P1086 or P1088 "Check Engine" code.
Fits all 2002-2007 Subaru WRX.
Install is quick and requires few tools. Cel was addressed by this position sensor and now I’m back on the road! I’m very satisfied with the oem component and will purchase again when the other sensor drops out. Thanks MachV! - Cole

The 2007 WRX has an electronic throttle, which does not use a separate throttle position sensor. This part only applies to the Tumble Generator Valves on your car, not to the throttle body. We'd suggest cleaning the throttle body; if that does not work, you can purchase a new throttle body HERE.
