This was the first Eastwood I ever saw. It led me to the website, and from that moment I was hooked. I already have over a dozen Eastwoods, but I always put off getting this model. One day, as I was drooling over their latest custom-shop projects, I saw a link to their trade-in program, so I submitted an offer. Within a few days, it was accepted, and within another week or so, my beautiful baby arrived. Thank you, Eastwood, for yet another amazing guitar!!
It started with a Sidejack 12 string. I was looking for a good electric 12 string; having tried a few previously, I was attracted by the Sidejack because it looked both really cool & very businesslike, it had a wide neck, I love P90 pick ups, & the one I found was affordable rather than cheap. So it duly arrived,- & I was completely, totally impressed - it played & sounded superbly, like playing an orchestra, AND the intonation was in for every string!!!! So I decided I really needed a matching 6 string, because it would look cool, I love P90 pick ups, it was attractively affordable etc etc - AND the Sidejack 6 string has a tremolo!!!! So I ordered one, & it arrives early just in time to go into the studio to record the next album. & it turns out it is beyond expectation absolutely awesome. The Sidejack is the perfect guitar for everything from basic rhythm through tasteful picking to total turn it up to 11 racket! & what a range of tones. I've played quite a few guitars over the years - generally favouring Telecasters, including a Manson custom Tele, with a fondness also for Gibson ES125s, not to mention once upon a time a Gibson Les Paul Custom Anniversary - but this is very probably the most enjoyable & versatile & roadworthy electric guitar I have ever played. Ever. Thank you, & respect, & then some, Eastwood Guitars.
I have an Eastwood Sidejack and it is an incredible guitar. I have been a professional musician for most of my life and have owned and played countless guitars over that time. Outside of the obvious food groups (LP, strat, tele) I needed a guitar that can fill the gaps and have leaned on P90 equipped instruments to cover the rest. The Sidejack ended up being more than that for me as I can get virtually any tone I need out of it. The neck is a comfortable shape and the guitar felt like home from the second I first played it. What was at first supposed to be a suplemental guitar has become my main guitar now. Thank you to Eastwood for reviving these classic, often overlooked guitars and improving on the areas that some of the originals fell short. I am looking forward to adding more Eastwoods to my collection as well as a Rivolta. Keep up the fantastic work!
In December last year I bought my Sidejack DLX and boy what was I pleased when it arrived. In the first weeks I had to adept to the sound and the guitar After a while I realized I should surge for a another way to play it then then I was used to. So it took a while to find my way around it. But now I love it ! You can hear my recording (all done in Reason) which you can find on Spotify and iTunes etc. Greetings and many thanks for a great guitar ! Ron Dorpsstraat http://www.rondorpsstraat.nl
Been playing for about 35 years. My mother bought me the Univox Highflyer as the first "good" guitar I ever had. I'm surprised I kept playing. haha I sold the guitar in the early 80's and got it back about 3 years ago as a Christmas present from the guy I sold it to. I found the Sidejack used in a Guitar Center in Virginia Beach Virginia. Thought it would be a great "first Guitar" for my Son. So far, It's been just that. It makes you wanna play it. DLX PRO has my name on it... "Thanks Vince" you da man !!!
